Lal Qila is one of the beautiful forts in India situated in Delhi. Lal Qila was constructed by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. He started the construction in 1638 and was completed in 1648. After completion of Lal Qila - Delhi, he moved the capital from Agra and this became the capital of Mughal emperor. The Lal Qila became the capital of Mughal till 1857, when Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled by Britishers.
Lord Red fort is one the best tourist attraction in Delhi. The main enterance to the fort is through two gates, the Delhi gate and the Lahore gate. Every year on 15th August, the Prime Minister of India flag hoisting in Lal Qila in the eve Independence Day and address the nation.
Purana Qila is another ancient fort in Delhi. The mughal emperor Humayun has made this fort his capital. After he located to Purana Qila he renovated the complete fort and named it Shergarh - The first Afghan emperor of India whose name was She Shah Suri.
This fort is one of the biggest forts in India. The height of the walls are 18 mtrs and the length ofthe qila is about 1.5 kms. It consists of three arched gateways named the Bera Darwaza facing west side of the qila, Humayun Gate - facing south side of the qila and the last one Talaqi Gate. This Talaqi gate was basically prepared to forbid and easy passege to go away from the qila, whenever required.
Amber fort is situated in Amber city, it is 11 kms away from Jaipur city, Rajasthan. The beauty of the fort is maota lake, just besides the fort. The Maharaja of Amber made his capital in Amber fort. After that he moved the capital to Jaipur, now a days known as pink city.
The fort is able to attract the tourists for its unique artistic style construction. The fort was built by meenas and the first phase of construction was completed by Maharaja Jai Singh. There is an internal passage was created between Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort. It was created to escape the Maharaja and his family from enimies on urgent situations. The complete fort complex is constructed with the help of white and red sand stones.
Jaisalmer Fort is situated in Jaisalmer city in Rajasthan. This fort is one of the biggest forts in the world. Jaisalmer city is having another tourist attration with its great desert named "Thar Desert". The fort is standing just besides the desert.
On safty point of view from the enimy, the fort was sourrnded by three wall. Between the outer wall and the middle wall, there was big rock stones and poisonous snakes were there. Between the middle wall the in inner wall, there was a canal contains boiling oils. From architectural point of view, the construction was out standing.
Junagarh Fort is situated in Bikaner city of Rajasthan. This is one the oldest forts in India and was built in 1478by Rao Bika. The famous part of this fort is, Junagarh Fort is one the forts which is not built on the hilltop area. Generally all the forts in Rajasthan has built on hilltop area, just to safe the fort from animies.
The outer wall of the fort was built in the year 1589 and was completed on 1594. The length of the boundry wall was approximately 1.5 kms. The big and strong wall was constructed to save the fort from enemy attacks. The history is the evidence, that despite of repeated attacks by enemies to capture Junagarh Fort, they were not successful.
